What to bring
A short list so the first meeting is useful.

You do not need a perfect folder. You need the year.
For a return
Last year’s return if you have it, all 1099s and W-2s, closing statements on anything you sold, mileage or home-office notes, and a list of questions.
For a notice
The letter, every page, and a recent bank statement if a levy is mentioned. We represent you before the IRS — you do not have to call the number on the notice alone.
For books or payroll
Bank login or statements, a current employee list, and the software you already use.
If something is missing we will say so. Do not delay the appointment waiting on a form that can follow.
